Q: Why should I dive with Dive Oahu?
A:
1: Dive
Oahu
is a PADI 5 Star IDC resort .
2: Our boat: We own our own boat unlike most of the places you call. There are 51 dive charter companies that all use the same (4) wholesale boats that they call their own. When booking you will see the same names over and over again. By looking at the internet you would think that they are huge companies, rather then a guy with a cell phone in his pocket.
3: Equipment: We only use the best, all Scubapro and Tusa top of the line equipment . We are an authorized "Try before you Buy Dealer." Our gear is changed out every six months. Our rentals include Scubapro S600/mk25 regulators, Nighthawk, lady hawk, pilot bcds with air 2's, Plus Prime 3 computers.
4: Insurance: There are a lot of fly by the seat of your pants dive companies out there. Just because they have a great looking web site doesn’t mean they have the proper insurance. Most of the best web sites are guys with cell phone strapped to there butt's. For example, if you get in a Commercial Van there should be a two piece sticker (commercial safety check) in the window currently it Blue with a number to it. Lots of the companies just have a private van with company signage on it. Life's good until they crash and you find out that their company has no insurance.
5: Respectability: We are one of the few seasoned (nice way saying old) dive shops/charters on the island. We do charge more than some because we are better. When you're staying at the 5-Star Kahala, Outrigger Reef, or most major hotels you will find that they offer dives with us .
6: Training: We offer free pool classes daily at three major Hotels. We have trained some of the best divers out there. We not only meet the standard, we beat it. A good case in point, PADI advance divers are required to do 5 dives, and our standard advance class does 6 dives .

Q: Can anyone try Nitrox (Enriched Air)?
A:
Absolutely! Nitrox can be done on any dive without certification, and if you like not being tired after diving we can get you certified the next day. There is small class and video and a test. Please let us know when you make reservations if you will be diving with enriched air.
If you are interested in diving with Nitrox but not certified for its use let us know and we can get you set up with Nitrox trial dives.

Q: Do you do referral dives?
A: Yes! Open water referral dives should be booked on any afternoon boat since we do shallow dives then. In most cases it will take two days or four dives. If it has been more than a couple weeks since you took the class we can brush you up in the pool if needed.

Q: Why do you have online web sales?
A:
We can only sell certain items in the online store. Since we only sell the best equipment, a lot of it is not able to be sold online due to dealer contracts. We also use the online catalog for our local and military purchasers for pricing. The bottom line is we will meet or beat any competitors price on equipment that we stock (Must be in current line, no closeouts) or we will take you diving free! If an authorized dealer is willing to sell it to you cheaper than we can, bring us a copy of the receipt with the store's name and equipment serial number on it and we will still take you diving for free. This is our company promise!
